Each day, our Cafe serves freshly prepared meals. Our dedicated Kids Cafe Chef, Mrs. Luz prepares breakfast and lunch using fresh and healthy ingredients, whilst snacks are offered mid mornings and afternoons.
Mrs. Luz is a Kids 'R' Kids certified chef and prides herself on serving seasonal fresh fruits, whole or 2% cow's milk, and hearty selections of freshly prepared (from scratch) meals. We want every child to eat a balanced meal -- one that is rich in fibers, protein, and nutrients.
Unlike other childcare centers that serve canned or preserved fruits out of jars, we go the extra mile by shopping locally for fresh seasonal fruits. Therefore, apples, pineapples, cantaloupes, watermelons, strawberries, oranges, blueberries, peaches are procured fresh, throughly rinsed, cut and sliced and served to the kids. After all, that is how our granny and mom used to feed us when we were kids. We feel that you'll agree with our wholesome approach.
Kids with allergies to certain foods or dairy products are provided alternatives, and so are vegetarian families. Substitutions are sometimes made for children under 2-years for health and safety reasons. Please let us know in advance and provide us with a doctor's note, if needed. Remember that we are a nut and pork-free center and we appreciate your co-operation in this regard.
